Web Design: Obtaining A Hosting Service
Once you have obtained a domain name, the next step is to obtain a hosting service, which is the place where your web pages are stored on the web and from where they are viewed by visitors. Hosting fees can cost anywhere from $4 per month up to however much you want to spend. Hosting fees are cheap enough these days that most sites do not require more than can be easily obtained for less than $10 per month.

After you have your hosting account set up, you will probably want to download and install an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program onto your computer. FTP programs are the fastest and easiest way to upload your website files from your computer onto your webhosting site. FileZilla is one such popular free FTP program. You can download it here.
